Shropshire Masonic event to launch 2030 Festival of Fundraising

Deputy Lieutenant Diana Flint represented the Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire at the Annual Meeting and Especial Meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Shropshire at Harper Adams on Saturday. She was also representing Sight Loss Shropshire in her position as chair of the charity.

It was wonderful meeting at which the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Roger Pemberton, welcomed guests from the many charities who were supported last year by the Masons, which included SLS .

The event was to launch the 2030 Festival of fundraising which will stretch over the next 6 years. Having raised an astonishing £1.2m over the last few years, this new target is for a further £1m.

Diana said  ” it was an honour to be welcomed to the event  and it is a most generous initiative which is aimed at helping more charities and people in need all over Shropshire”.
