Celebrating prestigious business achievements
The UK’s most prestigious business awards, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise have been renamed following the accession of HM King Charles III. The King’s Award for Enterprise will continue the wonderful legacy of Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II in celebrating the best of British businesses with the awards that were first launched in 1966.
Each year around 200 businesses from across the UK win in one (or more) of the four categories; Innovation, Export, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity.
Shropshire has some incredibly successful businesses who have won a Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, some more than once, and we look forward to celebrating further successes for our amazing business community with the King’s Awards for Enterprise. In 2022 we celebrated the success of Telford based i2r in winning their second QAE award, as well as the success of Jesmonite from Bishop’s Castle, Stallion AI from Whitchurch and Oswestry based Derwen College.
This year the announcement of the 2024 successful businesses will be on the anniversary of the King’s Coronation, May 6th. and WilloGame was awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.
The 2025 awards scheme is now open for entries, the closing date is 1.00pm on 12th September 2024.
