2020 Queen’s Awards for Enterprise winners

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious of business awards. Those who succeed in winning an award are allowed to
use this official crest to help promote their business, they are also invited to a winners reception at Buckingham Palace.

For the past couple of years with help from the Marches LEP, we have run briefing events to encourage some of our very successful and inspirational companies across Shropshire to apply.

Again we cannot physically run these events at the moment, but with your help we can share information about the process. Many myths surround this particular award, many believe that you have to be a large company, in fact very small companies with just two full time, or part time equivalents can apply.

On Tuesday 21st April the 2020 winners were announced and I am delighted to see two Shropshire based companies have won awards.

In the Innovation category Grainger and Worrall, based in Bridgnorth and Telford based i2r Packaging Solutions Ltd won in the International Trade category. Many congratulations to both companies and we hope to see this trend continuing with more future winners in Shropshire.

The QAE process usually opens late April/early May with final submissions usually in September.
