The Kushdil Day Centre at Hadley Gurdwara

Recently, Vice Lord – Lieutenant Jenny Wynn OBE DL visited the Kushdil, (“Happy Hearts”) Ladies group who meet at the Gurdwara in Hadley, Telford.

Women of all ages and from any ethnic background are welcome to share friendship and activities. They knit, sew, crochet together, creating thousands of hearts, for the hospital, thousands of poppies to both raise money for the Royal British legion and creating a “fall” for Hadley Parish council to mark Remembrance Day, as well as cooking hundreds of meals each week. The Vice Lord-Lieutenant  was delighted  to help with presenting Certificates of Recognition from Hadley Parish Council Amrit Singh and Certificates of Appreciation from the Mayor of Telford & Wrekin Council Eileen Callear.
