“We are nearing the end of another year that has made The Shropshire Lieutenancy happy to celebrate, on many occasions, with the many kind, successful, generous people that we have working and living here doing incredible things that make life better for others.
Indeed, in this issue, we celebrate another eight Kings Award for Voluntary Service, announced on the King’s birthday in November, where voluntary groups across the county work tirelessly to support their communities.
I very much look forward to 2026 with a focus on His Majesty’s desire to recognise his five C’s: Community and Social Welfare, Climate and Environment, Culture and Heritage, Commonwealth Relations and Cancer awareness.

I wish you a Very Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year.”
