The Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire, Mrs Anna Turner, was delighted to accept an invitation to attend the Shropshire Army Cadet Force visitors’ day.

The Army Cadet Force annual camp was held at Altcar Training camp, Liverpool and, as is tradition, they hosted a visitors’ day.

Mrs. Turner, Patron of the Shropshire Army Cadet Force Trust (SACFT)said:

“I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with the cadets. It was wonderful to see them so happy, hearing about the activities they had been involved with that week and grasping at every experience and opportunity presented to them”

Mrs Turner also met up with one of her Lord-Lieutenant Cadets for this year, Staff Sergeant Willow Chattington-Lowe.

The SACFT was founded to raise money to help fund a diverse annual programme of vocational, citizenship training and social activities for Shropshire Army Cadets that the Ministry of Defence does not fund.
