Drawings by the children from the Chinese Arts and Culture Centre in Telford

Drawings by the children from the Chinese Arts and Culture Centre in Telford

The Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire Anna Turner was delighted to receive these wonderful drawings to be presented to Her Majesty the Queen.  They were gifted by the Chinese Arts and Culture Centre in Telford who have recently celebrated Chinese New Year.  The children have drawn the pictures combining the Queen, English culture and Chinese culture together.

They have also gifted to the Queen a special pack of famous white tea.  The tea was named the best tea by a Chinese emperor a thousand years ago, but then it disappeared until recently when people found one plant in an 800 metre-high bamboo mountain, and from that one plant gradually they developed more.
