Deputy Lieutenants Commissions for Shropshire 2020/21

Burwarton House was the perfect setting for the lord-lieutenant of Shropshire, Anna Turner, to present the newly appointed Deputy-Lieutenants with their commissions.  It was a wonderful evening and the first time the Lord-Lieutenant and her Deputies both retired and current had been together for many months.

The lord-lieutenant thanked our hosts Viscount and Viscountess Boyne for allowing us to use their house and to all her Deputies for everything they do to support her.

The newly commissioned Deputy-Lieutenants were:

Martin Yates from Albrighton also received his MBE for his work teaching aircraft engineers and was officially recognised for services to the WorldSkills Competition.  He had opted to receive the honour in his home county rather than travelling to Buckingham Palace.
