Church Stretton Royal British Legion Centenary Dinner

All Stretton Village Hall was transformed into a regimental mess for the Church Stretton and District Branch of the Royal British Legion Centenary Dinner.

Deputy Lieutenant, Col Mike Evans was delighted to be asked to present a specially commissioned centenary pennant that will be housed with the standard in St Laurence’s Church for all to see.

Branch secretary Les Mackey commissioned and read a poem to mark the occasion, describing the work of the branch in supporting the veteran community and marking remembrance each year.
