Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award Ceremony

The Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire, Mrs Anna Turner was delighted to join the West Midland and East Midlands RCFA at the National Memorial Arboretum for the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards Ceremony last week.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge given by employers to focus on helping members of the Armed Forces community. It was wonderful to see Employers across the Midlands going above and beyond to make a positive difference to those in the wider forces community and it was the second year Shropshire Council achieved the gold standard.

Guests were entertained by a spectaular black light drum display from the The Royal Logistic Corps of Drums.
